Thank you for your email regarding the debate on culling badgers on 7 September 2016.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend the debate in person. I am hosting a meeting with the key players in the new rail franchise for East Anglia, an event which has been in my diary for many weeks.
I would have been keen to attend Westminster Hall as I am still open minded about the effects of a badger cull. Whilst I read with interest the evidence produced by the RSPCA, I have also seen equally compelling counter evidence produced by the NFU.
I will ensure I read an account of the debate as I hope it will provide further clarification.
